employer of the month

We want to thank employers/bosses for being supportive of the NMAMA Member who is giving time to the Association as a board member, committee volunteer, speaker, or regular attendee.

Our volunteers give hours of their own time and, on occasion, push the envelope at work using employer’s resources and doing NMAMA work on their “time.”

By showing appreciation, we hope we can continue to have volunteers who get support from their employers. We want employers to encourage their employees to become members not for leads but for continuing education and resources.

Melanie Burns has attended NMAMA events regularly for several years, often bringing employees with her and recently supporting one of them as a new NMAMA member. She has supported Marketer of the Year efforts by sponsoring the event, serving on the committee and providing discounted products. She served on the board in 2006-07 as VP of Sponsorships and regularly donates in-kind products to the chapter. She is a vocal advocate for the organization, often suggesting membership to business associates and offering assistance in recruiting program speakers.

Adelante Development Center logo links to They support JR Lopez being on the Membership and Marketer of the Year Committees, donate mailing services for the monthly postcard, and regularly furnish A/V equipment for nmama events. In the past, they have provided meeting space for board meetings and events at no cost, volunteered a speaker for non-profit marketing, and supported active participation in nmama by multiple staff members.

They support Ken Crain being on the Programming Committee, have five members, provided an expert for the roundtable, and regularly travel from Grants to attend NMAMA events.
